( it was an easy enough setup, surprisingly enough. vic set up the tent, albeit somewhat on his own because ain kept letting go of the ropes to point out a deer or a bird (forgivable, honestly) and while vic took a break, ain was happy to prepare the food station, including the camping stove and the coolers. they had a brief chat about nothing and then vic said he wanted to go for a walk, and ain was like, alright, have fun, i think i'm going to fish.

and now vic is back. and ain is a very good fisher (everyone from his town is) but uh. what the fuck is that thing he just fished up- )

This crime... is. technically. not his entire fault (it's absolutely his fault). The felled trees, cleanly cut with visible traces of Ain's magic, are not his fault. He did (not) do this. Therefore, at the behest of Czerny who said they needed to get out for a bit and Ebenholz pretended he didn't know what that meant, they're camping in a rather lovely patch of forest, just the two of them, where the clearing provides ample view of the moon and stars.

There's no light pollution this far out. It's a beautiful, clear night, with pleasant weather, and by some miracle Ebenholz managed to figure out how to pitch a tent only because this place gets enough of a cell signal for him to have called Czerny. ("How do you pitch a tent." "Look it up online." "There's no internet and I have one bar, meine gute Schlampe, explain it over the phone" and then Czerny snapped at him for his choice of words and here they are.)

They are Outside of the tent now, though. Due to Camping, Ebenholz is dressed like an actual person and not like a stuffy rich kid, except the button-down he's wearing probably still costs more than Kreide's entire wardrobe. But hey, he's got... jeans. on. He's got jeans. Oh god he thinks he hates jeans. How does anyone wear these.]

The thing about Elsword is that he normally doesn't get lost. He's a feral child a very good survivalist and outdoorsman, thank you, and it's difficult to get him turned around. This leaves two possible explanations: Either he was not awake when they left to go forage for food, or they're in some magical domain. And Elsword is leaning toward the latter.
