[They're not lost. They're also... not not lost. Elsword prefers to think of it as a detour. A nice... long... scenic detour back to where they set up shop on their journey to do ?? something.

The thing about Elsword is that he normally doesn't get lost. He's ~~a feral child~~ a very good survivalist and outdoorsman, thank you, and it's difficult to get him turned around. This leaves two possible explanations: Either he was not awake when they left to go forage for food, or they're in some magical domain. And Elsword is leaning toward the latter.

Honestly, as much traveling as Vash does, and with how often he's outdoors in general...he probably did actually get lost. If either of them would have gotten turned around, it's 100% Vash. Walking in circles is nothing new for him, especially when you come from the Literal Desert where there are no landmarks to help guide your way. Just an endless sea of sand and nothing much else.

That said, the idea of marking their path is a smart one. One they probably should have capitalized on earlier, but hey.]
