[Ain will refrain from asking why Add's vice gripping his hand like that, and instead be the first to break the silence between them in that ever-cheerful tone he uses.]
You're so affectionate today!
[Calling him out?? In front of his holoscreen? By Elria's Light, what will Add do next?
(It is at approximately this moment where Lu and Ciel obliviously walk into the room, take one glance at whatever the Fuck is happening here, and walk back out. Quiet chattering can be heard from the next room over, but Ain cares little what the demons are up to.)
Add is two for two on occupied hands, unless he wants to — Goddess forbid — move one of them elsewhere. Ain, however, still has a hand. A hand that may have been flipping noncommittally through a book til this exact moment, but a hand nonetheless. Clearly bored of that little ruse, he shuts the book and tosses it to the coffee table, where it skids across the finished wood and nearly topples off the opposite edge. Not once does Ain remotely leave Add's grip.
Mostly because he finds he wants to stay in it for as long as possible, in stark contrast to the competition Add is having in his head right now. Ain has no idea where to begin dissecting that, though, so he leaves that thought to fester in all his other emotional file cabinets.
Handholding doesn't get him yeeted. Got it. It means he can do more, then, such as clamping his free hand over the hand on his waist so it doesn't go anywhere aaaand...
Scooting closer. How could he get closer when they're already pretty much conjoined right now? Simply by maneuvering himself right into Add's lap, of course, effectively body-blocking the holoscreen and/or clipping right through it if Add hasn't put it away yet. Back-to-chest now, Ain slouches just enough so that he can still somewhat have his head against Add's shoulder, curls likely tickling his face or neck, but also so that he can see Add in his peripheral.
Kind of. It's a bit blurry due to proximity. Ain beams regardless, and if there's the slightest dusting of pink on his cheeks, no there's not. Shut up.]
